Adults And Special Educational Needs
We have a comprehensive set of assessment tools and techniques with which we can meets the requirements of most clients and individuals. The context of the assessment will determine the profile we develop, and the whether the evaluations focus on intellectual abilities, literacy and learning styles, or maybe emotional and behavioural understanding and development. The results of the assessment will usually include recommendations for certain strategies and interventions based on the analysis of information gathered. One of our areas of specialist knowledge and expertise is in the use of computer-based hardware and sofware systems to support learners with special needs and circumstances.
Our assessment procedure is designed to profile the individual's strengths and weaknesses, and in some cases, the information we gather will be sufficient for us to make a diagnosis of a specific condition. However, the initial profile does not always fully support a clear diagnosis and may even point to some other condition than originally assumed. If we feel that some further assessments, observations or investigations are warranted, we will include our recommendations in our initial report. We will always discuss with you how we feel you should proceed and what we feel may be the possible outcomes.
More information on our procedures and services can be found in the relevant sections of this website.
